Siege of Orgrimmar, what to track

(1/3) > >>

Suggestions? You can just list abilities names which can be tracked, and I'll look what they do.

If you have time - describe me better what I need, what you want to see etc.

Hi, my guild is trying to kill Paragons of the Klaxxi Heroic 10.
In Klaxxi there are 12 skills that the players needs to avoid or lesser the damage to improve the survival of the fight and be able to kill the boss.

+ 1) Whirling []
This spell is a debuff received by the people that doesn't move when Ka'roz the Locust uses his skill Flash (that start when Ka'roz says a emote that i don't remember).
Sometimes players gets the debuff but don't receive any damage (combinations of skills or bugs) and it's not a fail because the boss protects the player from the damage of the debuff. Another thing important to know about the skills is that the debuff multihit the same player, so it's important that the addon only reports 1 fail, not 1 fail each of the ticks of the debuff.

+ 2) Sonic Pulse []
Hisek the Swarmkeeper uses his skill Rapid Fire to throw several moving balls that must be avoided always by all the people, when someone gets hit by them, suffers dot damage (Sonic Pulse = instant damage dot). It's important to know what players gets hit by this skill because the damage is 100% avoidable and several times you cannot see if the tanks and melee dps gets hit by this skill.

+ 3) Eerie Fog []
Xaril the Poisoned Mind uses three diferent toxins in heroic, Reaction Green/Orange/Purple, each of this skills leaves a void zone on the ground, each of them is different but all of them must be avoided 100%, so, if you receive any damge of the three void zones, are fails. Reaction Green leave a green void zone that when you are inside the zone you receive a debuff name Eerie Fog that causes periodic damage for a massive amount of damage. the fifth and sixth are the other two void zones.

+ 4) Explosive Ring []
Reaction Orange from Xaril the Poisoned Mind, you receive instant damage each second that you are inside the big orange void zones. The damage must be avoided 100%, so when a player receives damage, it's a fail.

5) Canned Heat []
Reaction Purple from Xaril the Poisoned Mind, you receive instant damage each second that you are at the purple void zone. There are three different Canned Heat spells, but the most important is the one that causes damage to the players. Others players receive a debuff with the same name (the ones that causes the void zones to be created), the important fail is receive damage, not the others debuff.

6) Vicious Assault []
When Korven the Prime stuns the tank, he uses Vicious attack a cleave attack in front of him. The players that receives that damage, and aren't tanks, are failing and the RL must know that. Only one tank must receive the damage from vicious attack, so, if it's possible to report when the two tanks receives the damage, it will be the best, but is a minor improvement.

7) Faulty Mutation []
Rik'kal the Dissector transforms random dps players in Amber Scorpions, if that players don't kill a parasite (mobs summoned by Rik'kal), they will get insta kill by Faulty Mutation. The problem tracking this skill is that the players don't suffer any damage, they are insta killed.

8) Sonic Projection []
Kaz'tik the Manipulator uses this skill at the current position of the tank and damages all the players in a cone in front of him. When a player that isn't tank receives damage from that skill, is a fail. The tank can avoid this damage, but it's difficult and sometimes unavoidable, so, the best is to ignore the tanks fails for that skill.

9) Caustic Amber []
When Ka'roz uses the skill Hurl Amber, throws amber (Caustic Amber = void zone) at the feets of some people, in heroic you must avoid to receive more than one tick of that skill, so it's a fail if you receive more than 300k of damage of Caustic Amber.

10) Reave []
When Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver jumps to a player, in heroic he starts his Reave skill and damages all the players. The fail in that skill is when someone doesn't run away from him (the damage is bigger the closer you are to kil'ruk. When a player receives more than 500k damage by this skill in less than 10 seconds, is a fail.
This skill is a little difficult to accurate the fail. It will be helpfull to know when a player receives 400k and when he receives more than 500k.

11) Fiery Edge []
Iyyokuk the Lucid uses Insane Calculation: Fiery Edge, to link players with lines of fire. The lines of fire damages all the players that touch the lines and the players connected by them. The damage is bigger the closer you are to the others players that you are linked. If a player receives 750k or more damage in 6 seconds by the skill "Fiery Edge", it's a fail. It's important to know when a player receives too much damage from this skill, because the healers will need to do extra job to heal them and is avoidable. Insane Calculation last 6 seconds and is used with 30 seconds of cooldown.

12) Sonic Resonance []
Phoenixstyle tracks this skill at this moment, but in heroic it causes lot of damage and the addon always says that some people are failing and they aren't. Hisek the Swarmkeeper uses his Aim skill and some people gets damaged by Fire (the spell tracked by the addon at this moment). I think that the most important about this skill for the RL is know who receives damage from Sonic Resonance. When a player is inside the Aim zone, he is damaged by Fire and Sonic Reconance, but at the same time, if another player is at 5 yards from other player that receives damage, both receives extra damage from Sonic Resonance. The most important thing is to know when a player is damaged two or more times by the Sonic Resonance. If it isn't possible to track the hits done by the spell in a range of 1 second, it will help to know when a player receives more than 200k of damage by the Sonic Resonance in less than 1 second. All the players that receives several damage from Sonic Resonance are failing.

All these skills are important to kill klaxxi, if you can add all of them (or at least the first 10), will help a lot all the guilds that are stuck in paragons.

Sorry for my bad english, but if you need more information i will look for any reply in this forum.

Thx for the attention and for the creation of this awesome addon.

EDIT: I reordered the fails, in order of priority, from the most important thing to track to the less important or more difficult to track. 1-8 are essential, 9-12 very helpfull, but only if it's possible.

EDIT 2: I created the hyperlinks, sorry, im not expert in forums :P.

EDIT 3: I tried to add by myself the skills, but im not very skillfull in programing (only minor edits), if you can modify the code of this addon so we can add skills more easily (not the ones that needs conditions, but the easy ones like Sonic Pulse, that you only need to track who receives damage), will be an amazing and unvaluable progress :).

I am trying to add some... Would be nice to have such feedback time time ago, now its not so interesting to add new trackers, and I am lazy :(

Yeah, now is a bit late. Im trying Garrosh Heroic now, but in phase 1 and interphase 1 there aren't anything important to track as fails (you need dps and interrupt skills), if i find any skill that is usefull to track i will post it :)
The Klaxxi have lots and lots of skills to track that are avoidable, more than any boss in siege of orgrimmar.

My RL report the combat log to WorldofLogs, in that you can see several skills, but in spanish, here you have the translation of the skills:

1) Whirling = Torbellino ( All fails.
2) Sonic Pulse = Impulso Sonico ( All fails.
3) Eerie Fog = Niebla Siniestra ( All fails.
4) Explosive Ring = Anillo Explosivo ( All fails.
5) No recorded any at the log.
6) Vicious Assault = Asalto Sañoso (,,, & Several IDs for the same skill, as i said, the only fails are the ones that hit another players no tanks.
7) No recorded any at the log.
8) Sonic Projection = Proyección sónica ( Only one fail, the warrior isn't a tank.
9) Caustic Amber = Ambar Cáustico ( The Hit damage are fails, the ticks... well... can be avoided, but it isn't important if the player only get 1 tick of damage.
10) Reaver = Atracar ( This skill isn't very important and is very difficult to track the fails. No fails in that log.
11) Fiery Edge = Filo Ígneo ( Difficult to track who fails with this skill... and it isn't very important.
12) Sonic Resonance = Resonancia Sónica ( In that log there aren't any fail (no one got hitted twice by the same Aim.

Thx for all :)

Edit: The damage taken by the Whirling can be canceled if a paladin uses Hand of Protection on that player, the log can be a little difficult to read because of that, but if anyone receives damage because of that skill, is a fail.

After killing Garrosh HC, there are 3 skills that can be usefull to track who fails. The first two are very important, the third only for some guilds.

1) Empowered Whirling Corruption/Torbellino de Corrupción Potenciado (Skill: [Log:]
When a player receives damage from this skill, it's a fail, because is 100% avoidable and if you receive damage from it, it's very very easy to get killed. The boss uses his empowered whirling when he reaches 25 or energy, and to avoid the damage you need to get out of the purple void zone that appears at your feet.
2) Malicious Energy Explosion/Explosión de Energía Maliciosa (Skill: [Log:]
The damage of this skill isn't 100% avoidable, but it's very important to know who receives the damage of two or more stacks of this skill. This is because you must avoid to get 2 stacks of this skill, because for each stack of Malicious Energy that you have, you receive 400% extra damage. The first only damages you for 200k, the second 800k and the third 1,6m. At this point of the boss (phase 4), you need to avoid all unnecessary damage, so, if someone receives 400k+ damage from that skill, it's a fail.
3) Crushing Fear/Miedo Aplastante (Skill: [Log:]
When a player receives damage from this skill it's a super fail, because it's 100% avoidable and can cause a wipe very easily. Some guilds avoid this skill, ignoring all the second interphase of the boss, but if any guild tries to do the second interphase, then, it's important to track who fails at that.

Edit: There are other skills like Desecrate that can be tracked... but in heroic aren't that important. The most important thing about the boss it's DPS, DPS, and DPS xD.

Thx for all.
