Title: Throne of Thunder, what to track
Post by: Shurshik on February 11, 2013, 20:06:26
Suggestions? You can just list abilities names which can be tracked, and I'll look what they do

Is there possible to track how many that got hit by a single Caw http://www.wowhead.com/spell=138923 on Ji-Kun like you had with people stacking on windstep on bladelord?

And maybe on Tortos to tell who dpsed what of the adds.

And thanks a great bunch for sorting this awesome addon! :) If i were a better programmer i sure would have helped! =)

He will be available this week in lfr, I'll try. Today I can see that many logs were uploaded on the website, but I'll have time only on weekend to look into them :/

Multiple hits for a single Caw on Ji-Kun is a good idea. Also, on Ji-Kun, an after-fight summary of who got Primal Nutriment (140741) and how many times would be a sort of high scores list. If you're feeling adventurous: who got Primal Nutriment, how many times and also what their highest stack was. The last thing I can think of for Ji-Kun is people who take damage from Slimed (134256) while they have the Slimed (138309) debuff (two different spells with the same name).

If you want to be really nitpicky on Horridon, report how long it is between when the Orb of Control drops (there's an raid warning for it) and when someone clicks the Orb of Control and casts one of these spells http://www.wowhead.com/spells?filter=na=control+horridon .

For the Council of Elders ... maybe people who died to the damage reflected back from Overload (137149). Would people really kill themselves with that?? Hmm.

Tortos would definitely be damage taken from Rockfall (134476).

For Megaera, maybe damage taken by Acid Rain (139850) that is above a certain threshold (i.e. they were far enough away from it to take reduced damage). I'm not sure what that threshold would be, though, as I don't know at what rate the damage reduces by distance.

Those are all the ideas I have for now.

EDIT: I will try to remember to save the logs from this coming raid week in their entirety for you. It should have Normal bosses up through Durumu.

Some trackers are visible only in saved info, after some test I'll add them in chat, some abilities as Orb of Control / Control I didn't find in log :/

Ok, will wait some days before update, maybe new version has some errors.

The orb-of-control-dropped one is a default-UI raid warning thing rather than a combat log event.

Yes, but I didn't notice an event when it was used... only when boss get debuff from a wall, but it's too late.. During Easter Time I'll have more time to check all other trackers

On council of elders hc, can you track somehow this debuff http://www.wowhead.com/spell=137641 . You start with 1 debuff, and u end up having more, you bounce it from a player to another http://www.wowhead.com/spell=137643 and im interested in who gives it to who, how many stacks first person had(when giving it) and how many stacks 2nd person had(when receiving it)

Also each boss is empowered sometimes, 1 at a time, and needs to be dpsed, 25% lower from when he started to be empowered( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136442 ). Here im interested in dmg done on that boss when its empowered

And another thing, if u can track http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136937  / http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136991 friendly fire and healing taken by person with the debuff, if its not to much

For heroics tracker... it's difficult for me to add them without any log :/ if you have a txt log you can upload it here and I'll add it during this week

dhrake, I was very careful to add it as I cant test it... So, let me know if it works (I'll upload it as alpha this evening, at home). Than, you can suggest me to highlight stacks with different colors, for example: "sender" <5 green 5-8 yellow else red. "receiver" >10 red, 5-9 yellow etc. I don't know numbers that are ok by tactic. But I think highlight something is always good :)

P.S. would be better if you copy me some of reports here... To see it.
P.S.2 Our network was down today so I've added only 1 debuff, others things will add later :/

i wish i checked this yesterday before raid, now my next raid is sunday so im afraid i wont be able to test it until then. However i cant think of a reason why i wanted to see each debuff in particular atm, just who gives it to who and the number of stacks

Highlighting is a very good idea, there are some discussions on whats the correct number of stacks but personally i believe 5 is ok,  So yea u want to pass it every 5 stacks,
Example
Player 1(0 stacks) gets debuff passes it on 2 stacks <- red (2 stacks being minimum) to player x with Y stacks
player 2(0 stacks)  gets debuff passes it on 3-4 stacks <- yellow
Player 4(0 stacks) gets debuff and passes it on 5-8 stacks <-green
Player 5(0 stacks) gets debuff and passes it on 9-12 <-yellow
player 6(0 stacks) gets debuff( dies with Z stacks) passed it to player W with M stacks
This is just an example to get an idea when its safe and when its not to

for the moment report is like this:

??? -> Player1 (0)
Player1 (5) -> Player2 (0)
Player2 (4) -> Player1 (5)
Player1 (10) -> Player3 (0)

hmmm or should I changed it into (even if you can check how much stacks he had from the previous line):

??? -> Player1 (0)
Player1 (0-5) -> Player2 (0)
Player2 (0-4) -> Player1 (5)
Player1 (5-10) -> Player3 (0)
//initial debuff-final debuff - > stacks on new player

better to see it's report, to understand after test, I'll upload a new version before sunday, with damage tracker and other things.

I think first one is cleaner especially since u highlight it like this or something
Player1 (5) -> Player2 (0)
Awesome job btw:)

PS: The Council of Elders, 18:15, Biting Cold - info

01:50  SPELL_AURA_APPLIED: Hodirr-Sylvanas
02:37  SPELL_AURA_APPLIED: Nébuchadnèza-Ravencrest
03:25  SPELL_AURA_APPLIED: Nébuchadnèza-Ravencrest
04:12  SPELL_AURA_APPLIED: Nébuchadnèza-Ravencrest
04:59  SPELL_AURA_APPLIED: Maricela-Sylvanas

This is how biting cold info looks like. On second thoughts it might make the addon to heavy on memory if u track all healing done to those players but what u can do i think is to make it more esthetically pleasing and add frostbite to options
frostbite friendly fire is good
biting cold friendly fire is bad

Ah :DD Ok, I'll change it (maybe tomorrow) and will see about healing, if its possible and nice to track

Friendly damage from biting cold should be tracked too... For Frostbite... it's a bit difficult, I've to think how to track it without using range check, there is no info who makes friendly fire...

What about healing.... How it's better to track?
1. As damage done, you choose player and see total healing received under debuff
2. There will be some events named "player name - Biting Cold - info" you choose an event and see a list of healing done to player from 0 sec to 30 sec in order (every ability)... It's too much text but you can see who starts healing him at beggining... who did it when he died (hmmm the last one you can see using recount).

Well, maybe the 1st one, standart healing info to the player... I don't know :( the second is huuuuge info but more useful

Ok. I've added heal tracker too, but should test it before uploading... so will wait for the weekend

Iron quon, there is a debuff called arcing lightning( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136193 )  that can bounce( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136199 ) from player to player if they are not properly spread, and if both parties have debuff they will fire dmg on eachother;
 im not sure if u can track who gives it to who, or friendly fire dmg from it, it doesnt show at all on world of logs

on Twin consorts you can track ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136722 ) and stacks of ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=137360 ) and report them by default after combat

On lei shen you can track thunderstruck( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=135096 ) and add a margin maybe to each difficulty so if a player is hit for less than 150k it wont record it as a failure but if its for 1million it will(example)
lightning whip ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=136850 ) hits
Diffusion chain ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=135991 ) all player names hit by same spell relatively at the same time - spawn adds on each jump ( only 1 player should be hit by it)

I got an idea, but don't know if its good :)

Upd: removed it. I am working on new addon now=)
